About the Laminin Group
Witnessing for Christ by Serving Others
We believe God created each person with purpose and value. The Laminin Group exists to develop a faith-based community where individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families can thrive together—held together through Christ’s love.
Our mission is simple: to serve those least among us by creating a place they can truly call home.

Our Vision
We’re creating a new model of community-based living for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Laminin Place will provide quality education and job training alongside inclusive housing, recreation, worship, and social connection, enabling residents to become productive, self-reliant citizens to the highest degree possible.
Where We Are Today
Laminin Place is currently in the vision and fundraising phase. We’re working to establish our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and building partnerships with donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors who share our mission. The conceptual designs you see throughout this site represent our vision for a 194-acre community in the Grand Rapids area. While much work lies ahead, every great mission begins with a God-given vision and faithful supporters who believe in making it real.
